We purchased these for our Save-the-date and wedding invitations and think they're great. They have a great texture and they're pearly and look expensive for such a low price. They are, however, slightly transparent so you can see the words of the invite through the envelope - which would look really neat if the item going inside were colorful or bright. We had to use these as the mailing envelope since we couldn't afford to double up and we realized they're a bit thin and probably will get a little biffed up in the mail, but they are still very nice.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Constellation Jade Silk is a uniquely manufactured coated one sided (C/1S) paper with a silk-like embossed pattern. Its surface is derived from a mica based coating, which creates a distinctive pearlescent sheen. Beautiful in its un-printed state, when printed it makes inks appear to leap from its surface.
