This paper is tear resistant only vertically. It does tear horizontally. It does feel very sturdy though and prints great but I don't think I want to test its water resistant quality because I might end up with paper paste.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

We use this paper in an engine rebuilding facility that technicians use in books. It is withstanding the rigors of everyday use without tearing!

I used the stock for vending machine maps for the restockers. Worked beautifully. Also worked well for jersey numbers in a softball tryout.

Durable paper that you can dare to tear. This highly durable paper is tear, water and grease resistant. You'll be amazed at how this paper feels like any ordinary paper to the touch, but when you try to tear it? you can't. The secret is that this is two sheets of paper laminated over a plastic film. Therefore you don't need special inks to print it. You can use your laser printer, or printing press to print on this extraordinary sheet of paper. This is perfect for maps, tickets. menus and any paper project that requires extra durability.
