Only companies certified by Rainforest Alliance may utilize the RA logo. Only FSC certified manufacturers and distributors certified by SmartWood may use the valuable Rainforest Alliance seal in conjunction with the FSC logo.

Our suppliers Domtar Finch Paper, Fox River Paper, Mohawk Fine Papers, Monadnock Paper Mill, National Envelope, Neenah Paper and Smart Papers offer FSC certified products that can bear a Rainforest Alliance seal alongside an FSC certified label.
What is Rainforest Alliance?
The mission of the Rainforest Alliance is to protect ecosystems and the people and wildlife that depend on them by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behavior. Companies, cooperatives and landowners that participate in our programs meet rigorous standards that conserve biodiversity and provide sustainable livelihoods.
Why look for the Rainforest Alliance seal?
FSC certified papers and envelopes is an effective way to demonstrate your, or your client's, commitment to sustainability. As customers and shareholders become increasingly concerned about where and how products are made, they are demanding that companies use products that come from sustainable and responsible sources. Printing on FSC certified papers and envelopes saves forests, protects wildlife habitats, keeps water clean and protects the rights of local communities and aboriginal peoples worldwide.
Approved Product Statements for Product Packaging & Off-Product Promotions: Companies using the RAC seal may also increase a product's consumer appeal by educating consumers about the environmental, social and economic benefits of Rainforest Alliance certification. Companies may propose their own text or use the following approved statements for on-product packaging and off-product marketing materials: A. The mission of the Rainforest Alliance is to protect ecosystems and the people and wildlife that depend on them by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behavior. B. The Rainforest Alliance is an international nonprofit conservation organization that certifies forestry and agricultural operations, ensuring that they meet the rigorous standards for the conservation of natural resources and the rights and welfare of workers and local communities.
